Today I prepared a healthier version of strawberry smoothies. I skipped the vanilla ice cream and sweetener and mainly used a handful of fresh strawberries, low fat milk and yoghurt. It’s a refreshing and healthy drink to start a beautiful Sunday morning.
8 large strawberries
1 cup yoghurt
1 1/2 cup of milk
First blend strawberries and milk together until strawberries are pureed, then add the yogurt and whip until the smoothie is thick and rich. Add a dash of sugar or a few table spoon of natural honey if you prefer it sweet.
For richer and creamier taste, add vanilla or strawberry ice cream and use full cream milk. Additional fruits like banana or mangoes could also be added.
